What Should I Bring?

We suggest that customers bring drinks, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, tightly woven shoes, hats, beach towels, sunglasses and zip lock bags if you want to take fillets back with you.

What And Why Should I Tip The Captain / Mate? 

Mates work for a daily wage and tips just like waiters and waitresses. Tips are discretionary, however, it is customary to tip the crew 15-20% for good service.

What's Provided? 

Everything you need for fishing. Rod, reels, bait, tackle, fishing license. Fish cleaning and great service with a great attitude. We fish with high quality gear. It's not necessary to bring your own gear if so please let me know in advance.

 

Can We Keep Some Of The Fish We Catch?

Yes, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, and Grouper are wonderful table fair, just to name a few.

What Kind Of Fish Will We Catch?

Frequently we catch Snook, Redfish, Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Grouper and many more.

What Forms Of Payment Do You Accept?

Cash is always preferred, but Venmo and major credit cards are accepted.

 

What Time Of Day Will We Go Fishing?

This all depends on what type of trip you book but most StoryMaker Charters take place in the evening time.

What If The Trip Gets Canceled?

If the Captain cancels the trip for any reason (weather or an emergency) 100% of any deposit will be returned. Any cancelation by the client up to 48 hours before the day of the trip, 100% of the deposit will be returned, cancelation with-in the 48 hour period before the scheduled trip, the deposit will not be returned.

When Is The Best Time Of Year To Go On A Fishing Trip

Since all the charters here at StoryMaker Fishing Charters take place in Tampa Bay we’re blessed to have a fishery that produces great fishing all year long!
